good to go

After several months of waiting and even doubting filled with much paperwork I was finally medically cleared this morning. My medical screener called me this morning to let me know the news.

I saw surprised then that I got a call the same day from my placement officer! We discussed my placement options and what I was looking for in the PC. I told him that French was not my number one goal. Although I will be in a French speaking country I will most likely be in a rural setting where I will use the local language more. I told him that's what I wanted. I told him, I hoped my French skills would be beneficial and helpful, but they did not play a big factor in where I wanted to go.

So, it sounded like I will still be going to French speaking West Africa, working in Water and Sanitation Extension. I should be getting something official in the mail sometime soon!
